Brunch Crawl

Normal people do Pub Crawls. Not us. We crawl through Chelsea Market, ravenous from our Saturday morning workouts. Yesterday, we hit Amy's Bread. They had these delicious cheese biscuit sandwiches with ham and surprise! more cheese. Cheddar to be precise. It was deliriously rich. I can see why Egg, that place in Billyburg, adds some fig jam. A little something to cut the richness would have been welcome I think, but its a small quibble. We also had one chocolate twist between.

Next we hit 202, the cafe in the Nicole Farhi store. While I browsed (well considering the $, just looked, really) The Boy cleaned up on the pastries which go 50% off at 3. Post-biscuit, we didn't manage to actually eat any there, but we can vouch for the Caramel Pecan Brownie (Boy is dreaming of it still), the Pumpkin Muffins, the Orange Chocolate Chip Loaf. We also had something called the Ale Cake made with dark beer and ginger. It would have been perfect except for a faint top-note of...liver?!?..when you first bit into it. I will have to go back and ask about that one. It was very odd considering the overall quality. The Loaf had the airiest texture of any Loaf bread I have ever had. And as you might guess, I have had many.

I justified the biscuit gluttony with 4 hours of hard shopping. As I will be trying to take it easy of the gluttony over the week, there will be plenty of opps to describe my adventures.
